Are Glenlochar Kitchens and its parent company Sonmor International Inc. a Canadian Company?  Yes.  Glenlochar Kitchens / Sonmor International Inc. are Canadian owned and operated since 1991.     Are the Glenlochar Kitchens mixes made up of imported ingredients? We support our local farmers 100% buying our beans, peas, lentils, wild rice and grains from Canadian farmers.  The spices and dehydrated vegetables are imported, however, we purchase   them through a Canadian Distributor.     Are your soups and casseroles difficult to make? No. In fact, they are simple to make.  Some require water and a meat source, and some require a can of tomatoes (or fresh if you wish).      How do you prepare them them? You can cook them on the stove which takes between 25 minutes (Country Chowder and Minestrone Soup Mixes), to approximately an hour on the stove top for all the rest of the varieties except the Stonehouse which takes a little longer.  The crock pot recipes are on the back of each package, but usually range between 8 – 10 hours, perfect to come home to after a busy day.                       2011 Glenlochar Kitchens.
